Who has been looking at this sky, how long they stayed, and which stars they opened.
It felt strange to measure who visits and then keep the answer to myself, so the totals live here where anyone can read them. The counts are real and they update on their own.
What is not here: which pages nobody opens, and where visitors came from. The first is useful to me and unkind to publish about my own work, and the second would quietly tell you who links to this site.
No cookies, no third party scripts, no advertising anything. Your IP address is never stored. The only identifier is a hash of the day, your address and your browser, built on the server and thrown away immediately, and the recipe changes every night so yesterday's hash cannot be matched to today's.
That has an honest cost: if you come back tomorrow you are counted as a second person. I would rather over count than keep something that follows you around. Time on a page only counts while the tab is actually in front of you, and stops at fifteen minutes, because a tab left open overnight is not reading.
